Chester Dee Branch L1 Leisure

The Canal & River Trust's moorings in Chester are located between the Shropshire Union Canal as it passes through this historic town and the junction with the River Dee, just a quarter of a mile away.

The secure site is approximately 60m long and provides space for up to three vessels moored against the off-bank side.

On entering Chester take the A5268 ring road signposted Wrexham and North Wales. Turn left onto the A548 signposted Queensferry. Turn right into Catherine Street, then right onto Whipcord Lane. The moorings can be found on the left hand side.

Vehicle access to this site is not possible and car parking is not available. Customers will need to make alternative arrangements. Water point opposite moorings on the visitor moorings. Pump out facilities can be found at local boat yard. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
