Stoke Bardolph Moorings are located in a rural spot to the east of Nottingham on the Non-tidal River Trent. For boaters, the broad and fast-flowing River Trent is a clear contrast to the narrow network of canals that it connects to.
The site provides space for up to three large vessels moored to the south-east side of the lock and next to a by-pass weir. A number of shops can be found in Burton Joyce, approximately two miles away or Nottingham City Centre can be reached by car in less than 20 minutes.
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the beautiful, rural location that is Stoke Lock and Woods. The mature woodland around Stoke Lock was planted just after the lock was built in 1927, creating an excellent site for walkers and nature lovers. There are also some fascinating conservation projects taking place in the area. Visitors can discover more from the interpretation panel and listening post on site.
