The Canal & River Trust offers both off-side and towpath side moorings at Cowley, which are located towards the southern end of the Grand Union Canal in west London.
The area is popular with boaters given its proximity to the Colne Valley Regional Park conservation area, as well as its excellent road, rail and waterway links into London and connections via Brentford with the River Thames.
13 towpath moorings are offered above Cowley Lock to the north of the site and on the opposite bank there are 28 linear moorings on the off-side. To the south of the road bridge below Cowley Lock, there are a further 18 berths which are also against the off-side bank.
Uxbridge town centre is located one and a half miles away and provides good shopping, lesiure attractions and other local amenities.

- This mooring site is just north of the B470 Iver Lane road bridge in Cowley, Uxbridge, Middx, and is approximately 35 minutes walk or a 10 minute bus ride from Uxbridge town centre.
There are some local shops and pubs nearby with the main shopping centre and high street shopping in Uxbridge itself.

- The nearest Canal & River Trust waterpoint, household refuse and elsan disposal points are at Cowley Lock which is immediately south of the site. These services are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement.
The nearest pump out stations is Denham Marina (approx 45 minutes' cruise north) Diesel, coal and gas is available at this marinas and also from Uxbridge Boat Centre or other commercial boat services.
Mooring rings are installed at this site but mooring pins may be required dependent on boat length and the spacing of rings.
There is no car park on site. However, limited on-street parking is available nearby. Parking on the towpath by Cowley Lock is not permitted and motorbikes must not be brought on to the site.
This site is suitable for widebeam boats. All boats must be powered.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
