King's Road Moorings are situated between Wakefield and Castleford on the Aire & Calder Navigation in West Yorkshire.
The canal was originally built to connect Leeds to the Humber and the North Sea. It still carries commercial traffic though there is no commercial traffic on Wakefield Arm. The nearby Stanley Ferry Aqueduct - a scheduled ancient monument and the picturesque countryside, make it a popular place for pleasure boats and visitors alike.
There are 12 moorings which are located on both the towpath side and off-side of the canal below the lock and space for 8 vessels above the lock on the off-side.

This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
